My First Post

I have finally joined the Blogging World !!! I am no longer just a lurker... I am new at this, so please bare with me...Html..what does that mean again ??? I hope to write about my life as a Mom, my Love for Designing and Sewing, and provide some photo's as well. I am not a great writer and am actually pretty bad as a photographer, but just maybe, this journey will help me grow in those areas. I have been saying for years I was going to journal...and well...that has not happened...so here I am...
I have just finished my Apron for the Tie One On March/April Rick Rack Theme, please check out the gallery, it is full of very creative apron designs. As for the Apron...well, there are two things I am in Love with these days, Gingham and Rick Rack... I went to Yardage Town to look for some Gingham, preferably in Pea Green or Orange, but the best I could do was Brown...and well, I just love it...Brown being one of my Favorite Colors. I also stumbled upon this Funky Rick Rack.. ( or Wick Wack as my Little Blake Boy says), that has this great orange and yellow stitching in it. You can go to my Flickr photo's to see a close up of the Rick Rack. The green fabric I used for the pocket and leaves in from The Bohemian Collection by Anna Maria Horner (love all her fabric's !). I was lucky to find the last bolt of 6 yards at my local Quilt Shop. Lots of future plans for it.

I love it...the apron and the fact that you have entered the blogosphere. I could try to help you do all the link stuff but I'm afraid everything I do is the long, round-about way and you could probably find someone more savy. Can I link you to my blog?
I really do love the apron. When can I buy one?

I love your apron. It's beautiful! Congrats on starting to blog. And I see that you already have 7 comments on your very first post! How lucky? I did a search online for HTML code so I could learn to link. I've yet to figure out how to make my blog pretty, but keep on trucking!
